The Peacemaker’s Lamp
Poems by Terry Yates
Home is from where these poems send their invitations to be read and to be heard. That old home is built on land that seems both mighty and small as it sits at the foot of a mountain. It offers a site to dwell on, and it offers the promise of excursion.
While the poems in Terry’s first book Tell the Black Water (2005) mapped out these possibilities, the poems in The Peacemaker’s Lamp accept these same offerings with gratitude and trust.
